College Cost Invitational Summit 2005
Lumina Foundation for Education has launched an initiative to explore the rising cost of college. The Foundation, in partnership with the James B. Hunt, Jr. Institute for Educational Leadership and Policy, is hosting College Costs: Making Opportunity Affordable, a national, invitational summit in Washington, D.C., this fall. Believing affordability to be key in college access and success, the Foundation and the Institute are beginning a dialogue to find effective solutions to this crisis.

2005 Lieutenant Governors Education Symposium
The 2005 LGES brought together the nation's lieutenant governors to discuss the critical education issues facing the states. Each session of the Symposium program examined a different education topic and provided expert presentations and the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.
