Judith Rizzo
Prior to being selected the first executive director of the James B. Hunt, Jr., Institute for Educational Leadership and Policy, Dr. Judith Rizzo served as deputy chancellor at the New York City Board of Education, deputy superintendent of Tacoma, Washington’s public schools, and deputy superintendent for curriculum and instructor and the bilingual coordinator for Boston public schools. Rizzo is a former principal and middle school teacher. She helped design the Early Childhood Language Assessment System (ECLAS), the first comprehensive early childhood standards system in the state of New York. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College, Middlebury College, and she received her Ed.D. from the University of Massachusetts. More...
