Kathy Havens Payne
As the Senior Director of Education Leadership for State Farm® in charge of State Farm’s business-education partnerships, Kathy Payne supports the chairman and CEO in an effort to improve student achievement. Her job involves staff support for his work and representing State Farm at the staff level on education commissions and task forces. She serves on several youth serving non-profit boards and chairs the Trustees for America’s Promise Alliance. A former school board member and president, Payne received the 2002-2003 Illinois Board of Education “Those Who Excel” Award for outstanding contributions to education. Prior to joining State Farm, Payne spent 12 years on the secondary level as a special education teacher.
