An Asheville, North Carolina native, Ashley Perry researched and monitored legislative issues relating to the arts, children and families, economic development, education, housing, and labor for the Office of Congressman Mike McIntyre in Washington, D.C. Perry spent nearly two years researching findings and compiling the quarterly alumni update at the UNC School of Government where she received undergraduate degrees in political science and history and a master’s in public administration. She spent three months as a policy and management analyst intern with the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer. She has volunteered with the North Carolina Museum of Art Contemporaries Society and The Women’s Center.
