Ford brings more than 14 years of public relations and marketing experience in higher education and community-based nonprofit organizations to the Hunt Institute. As part of the communications division, she helps develop effective communications strategies that underscore the Institute’s mission and vision. Prior to joining the Institute, she served as the public information specialist at the UNC Renaissance Computing Institute where she focused on implementing strategies for internal communications and managing Web site content. Ford was also the director for community relations and development at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center Eastern Division, and the director for Main Street Martinsburg, Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a master’s degree in public administration—both from West Virginia University.
