The 8th Annual North Carolina Legislators Retreat, Economics 101: Today’s Students = Tomorrow’s Workforce, was held on January 10-11, 2011 at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst. This year’s Retreat examined the growing economic imperative for all students to obtain a credential beyond a high school diploma. Over the course of two days, participants heard from state and national expert as North Carolina grapples with how to ensure that all students have the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in today’s - and tomorrow’s - economy.
