The 9th Annual North Carolina Legislators Retreat was held on January 9-10, 2012 at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst. The Retreat focused on a range of topics that are needed to prepare students for college and career. Over the course of two days, participants discussed how to identify and compensate for effective teaching, create successful environments for teaching and learning, and strengthen literacy instruction.
