2005 Governors Education Symposium Report

On November 7, 2005, governors and policy advisors from 20 states convened in Charlotte, North Carolina for the 3rd Governors Education Symposium co-sponsored by the James B. Hunt, Jr. Institute for Educational Leadership and Policy and The Oquirrh Institute. The purpose of this Symposium was to provide participating governors with an intensive and comprehensive summary of critical educational issues facing public schools. This information was merged with advice on a variety of political and policy
strategies to use in addressing these issues.
