N.C. General Assembly
With the generous support of the North Carolina General Assembly, the Hunt Institute is able to delve into issues not just on a national level, but also to closer to home. The Institute works closely with legislators to bring an intense focus on educational issues and serves as a special resource for North Carolina’s political, business, and education leaders. The North Carolina Legislators Retreat is one of the Institute’s hallmark events and serves as a model for how states can connect legislative leaders with education experts — such as social theorist Richard Florida, data system authority Jay Pfeiffer, and professor Pedro Noguera – for better policy decisions.
