INTRODUCING: The Intersection Webinar Series | A Biweekly Education Policy Conversation

For many years, The Hunt Institute has engaged partners and policymakers in critical conversations around pressing education issues at the state and national level. Today, we are excited to unveil our latest effort to keep those discussions going: The Intersection Webinar Series | A Biweekly Education Policy Conversation. Every other week, we invite you to join us to explore current research and emerging political issues vital to our mission of utilizing policy to create high-quality, equitable education systems for all students.

Here’s what you can expect at The Intersection:

  • All are Invited | Because we know education research and policy has implications for a variety of stakeholder groups, these conversations are open to anyone who wishes to join us. We’ll be promoting each conversation on our Twitter and Facebook pages—we hope you’ll share with anyone who might be interested.
  • Biweekly Schedule | As the tagline implies, join us every other Wednesday at 1:00 PM EST, starting on January 31.
  • 30 Minute Call Length | We will aim to keep each call to 30 minutes–perfect for those who need a stimulating “lunch and learn.”
  • Focus on Strategy | Where possible, we will share relevant research reports with you in advance, allowing us to spend the bulk of our time focusing on how partners and policymakers can use research findings and recommendations to better support their work. 
  • Collaboration Encouraged | We hope to tackle a variety of issues spanning the P-16 education continuum and welcome suggestions for webinar content from you. Share ideas with us on Twitter @Hunt_Institute using the hashtag #HIwebinar. 

So, we invite you to join us at The Intersection beginning Wednesday, January 31 at 1:00 PM EST for a conversation with Stephanie Dean, Vice President of Strategic Policy Advising at Public Impact. Stephanie will discuss the implications of a recent Brookings-AIR evaluation of Opportunity Culture, a differentiated compensation model that extends the reach of excellent teachers using recurring budget funds.
