Robert Ingram

His career began as a professional sales representative, and then he rose to CEO/chairman of GlaxoWellcome. He co-led the merger and integration forming GlaxoSmithKline. Upon retiring, he was asked by the board to serve as vice chairman of Pharmaceuticals at GSK. Robert Ingram also serves as chairman of OSI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He serves on the Board of Directors of Allergan Inc., Edwards Lifesciences Corporation, Lowe’s Companies, Inc., National Board for Professional Teaching Standards President’s Roundtable, Nortel Networks, Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, Wachovia Corporation, Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, and others. He is vice chairman of the American Cancer Society Foundation.
